The serious hobbyist can now measure accurately the scale speed of their locomotives, actual wheel/axle RPM and distance travelled during a test session.

This is especially useful for AC or DC modellers to obtain locomotive specific characteristics and speed matching locomotives when preparing them for consisting.
Additionally, DCC modellers can now set their speed steps with uncanny accuracy.

It consists of 2 parts – Console and Reader. The Console is common to all versions of the Reader.

The Reader will be offered in 3 versions – 40, 50, & 60 Series - and is a ‘drop in’ fit. Just replace one of the Saddles with the Reader and you are ready to go.

The Reader is designed for our current 40, 50 & 60 Series of Running Stands. It could be used with other manufacturer running stands. However, some height adjustment may be necessary.
